if i was in a fictional universe i wouldn’t be the main character i’d probably be that friend of the main character who lacks supernatural powers or special abilities but makes up for it with sarcasm and really lame one-liners
but that’s also usually the character that gets their own sub-fandom with dedicated fans and pretty cool fanart
however, that’s also usually the one character that dies
Sometimes at night I suddenly become aware of all the things I’m missing out on right now, and all the people who I’m not close to anymore, and all of the good times that will never happen again, and all the people who meant the world to me who have forgotten about me forever, and I get this awful feeling that’s kind of like a mix between loneliness and nostalgia.
this power point is a m e s s but i think that a lot of the complaints about 3d animation stems from the misconception that it’s the easier solution to 2d, which it fucking isn’t.
this is a huuuuge simplification of some of the processes of computer animation but there’s a few things that people don’t know and don’t think about and hopefully this sheds some light on that and helps erase the stigma that 3d animation is really easy.
I learned
>no actual info about how people do animating in 3D
EDIT HERE IS A BIG VERSION SO YOU CAN INCLUSDE IT IN YOUR LITTLE POHTOSET
THANK YOU I AM SO SICK OF TUMBLR BLOGGERS WHINING ABOUT 2D TRADITIONAL ANIMATION AND BELITTLING 3D ANIMATION AND ANIMATORS, WHEN THEY REFUSE TO KNOW FUCKING JACKSHIT ABOUT THE HISTORY OF ANIMATION ITSELF!!!!
THANK YOU.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
After taking a 3d-modeling class last quarter, I can tell you that this stuff is a LOT of work, and I have a TON of respect for people who do 3d-animations.
I love 2d of course, but I get so frustrated when people don’t acknowledge all the hard work and dedication that goes into 3d work.
There’s the modeling, weight painting, texturing, rigging, and animating…
Not to mention fluid/physics simulations, particle systems and LIGHTING.
OH MY GOD DO YOU KNOW KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE LIGHTING!?

What was a rumor no longer is. Miles Edgeworth and Trucy Wright join the fight in Dual Destinies.
TRUCY MY BABY!! OMFG
whoa can we just talk about this game
I played it for like 5 hours last night
it’s a flash platforming game with a philosophical dilemma at the end of each level, which is essentially the coolest thing ever
it keeps track of your answers and at the end plots you on a graph with a bunch of famous thinkers/historical figures (I ended up nearest amelia earhart, go figure I did like 15 book reports on her in elementary school) and lets you know what type of thinker you are
I also thought the avatar creator was pretty cool because it doesn’t explicitly force you to pick boy or girl
the controls are a little janky but overall I thought the level design was really nice and the last few levels manage to be both fun and challenging
good game. would recommend. you should be playing this
Really cool concept!
I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME
